THIS! This is what I was waiting for a year now! I always thought the regular form factor of the gopro a bit excess for my needs. I need a camera as small as it can be with interchangeable batteries and great video quality. This is why I passed on the Insta360Go2 and the DJI Action 2. This is superb comeback from GoPro and I can definitely see myself getting this during release!

You may be celebrating too early. Doesn't look like this Mini will have interchangeable batteries. Look carefully at the hatch door size. There ain't no batteries fitting through that!

@@Rush-Media Similar to you, I have a session 5 and it works great. However, the internal battery has gotten so old that it no longer holds its charge after 24 hours. If I fully charge it today and not use it, by tomorrow morning, it will be dead. This is a factor to consider concerning cameras with non-replaceable batteries...

That battery hatch door looks WAY too small for interchangeable batteries. It looks to me like it simply is a hatch/door no different than the sessions and this "mini" only has 1 internal non-interchanchable battery. Interesting...

Oh waw! if this really comes out as described it would be so great! I think is the best of everything for an action camera. Really don't understand why you would need the screen in a day of age when everyone has a smartphone with bluetooth and wifi.

The built-in screen helps with battery. Linking GoPros with phones via Bluetooth is a known battery eater compared to a built-in screen.

@@jean-roschprudencio930 I have a session and several GoPros. Battery life on my session is comperable with the ones from the GoPro. The connection to the session takes about 15 seconds to make the adjustments and then is just recording. The same for the GoPro, why would I need the screen on the GoPro for setting I can do on my phone?

seeing a screen and knowing its recording, with the time counting is assuring. they couldve just put a screen at the back like action 2 did, so its possible. whats the use of the back mount.

@@truthseeker6804 current GoPro make a specific sound when start recording or stopping, for me it's good enough to be sure I'm recording. Anyway when the GoPro is mount on the helmet, you can't see the screen, so with the right ding you can be sure you are recording. But anyway, the camera doesn't have to be for everyone.

@@adventure_boy agreed the camera doesnt have to be for anyone. but you didnt answer whats the use of the backmount. seems like a screen there wouldve made it more versatile. also every action camera makes a start sound, thats not the point. cameras can freeze and make you think its recording. i always verify a camera if its recording by looking at the timer on the screen.

Just my humble observation and opinion but this GoPro Hero 11 Mini's bottom finger mount sticking out like that looks very weird. Interesting that it isn't flush with the main body of the camera. Looks like a Nintendo Mario Koopa Clown Car... In my mind : mario.wiki.gallery/images/thumb/e/e0/MPS_Bowser_Artwork.png/220px-MPS_Bowser_Artwork.png
