Glad to hear, I’ll be adding one to my lineup, waiting to see what Black Friday sales GoPro will have. Last year I got the 12 for $299 with 2 batteries. Hopefully they do the same for 13, but I will have one going into winter steelhead season.

@@RAGEFISHING Yep. Well i havent upgraded my GoPro since 2018. I had the old Hero 2018 and upgraded to the Hero 13 Black. Im still usin the Hero 2018 though.

I buy the new one every year, I don’t make a ton on advertising money, but it goes to new equipment. You’ll see a huge difference in 6 years of technology!

I'm still using my Hero 3. Still amazed on the quality of these things. Tanks and the optics are very good. I do miss the original gopro editing softeware. Was very easy to cut clips out. Do you recomend any editing software? Thanks.

I use iMovie that comes with Mac products. I originally planned to use adobe or Final Cut, but after using iMovie, there has been no reason to pay for editing software, not for a fishing channel. I have some older GoPros; the 2, plain hero and a couple 5’s. Once you start using the ones with image stabilization, you won’t want to go back. No more Blair Witch Project footage. That being said, my hero 2 still works like a champ after 11 years!!

Lol. Blair witch. I get it. I use imovie also. It works. I'm not sure if i'm cutting vid portions correctly, but make it work. nice channel/content. @@RAGEFISHING

@@morefish8881 have you tried to cut them before adding to iMovie? As in with the ‘finder’ screen? I always go through all my footage and cut out the clips I want before adding to iMovie.

I havent tried that. I'll check it out. My issue is taking multiple cuts out of the same file. Right now, i drag the file down multiple times and cut. think i'm using too much memory doing it that way. But or my needs, it works. I'm sure there's a better way in imovies.@@RAGEFISHING

for the fishing footage with the 12 were you using the media mod mic or just built in audio?

Built in mic, I don’t use the media mod for normal fishing because it’s not waterproof.

Like you I’ve just acquired a hero 12 and was trying to follow your set up. I don’t seem to able get my camera to lock the horizon in like you did. Am I missing something?

It’s listed as L+ in the lens angles. Did you put it in Pro mode?
