I bought my first GoPro in 2013, a Hero 2 for the same price I paid for the Hero 13 Bundle, $350! 😁 That was the beginning of my long journey learning the ropes of filming and editing. Im happy to share what I know, especially related to GoPro use in the pacific nw. As for the Hawken Sweatshirt, I was fortunate enough to be added to their pro team a couple years back, it’s a pretty awesome sweatshirt! I think they only made a few for the pro team. The hats are pretty awesome too, they are Richardson 112 truckers, which are my preferred cap. I’ve bought several like the one I’m wearing in this video, they should be on the Hawken website. I’m a long time fan of Hawken products, I only am willing to promote the gear I use and believe in.

Would you recommend linear with horizontal lock for bass fishing as well with a chest mount? Plan on ordering the 13 and making some videos so thank you for the help.

I guess it depends on how you’re fishing; bank? bass boat? kayak? I fish out of a pontoon in local ponds for bass most frequently, so I generally run in wide or super view to capture the rod. I really like that setting for wade fishing for steelhead though, it just makes the footage so much more watchable. I wish they had horizontal lock in at least Wide setting, but they don’t, not yet anyway.

@ usually from a bass boat standing up or from like a two person plastic boat with seats so sitting down. I guess playing with the angles and seeing which I like best is probably the best bet.

That’s probably a good idea. The problem with wide and super view is it makes fish look dinky when they’re out there a ways, but it can capture hooksets better and more of the surrounding environment. Definitely play with the different settings to get a feel for what you want viewers to see.

@@jeremydaigle2953 not yet, but I’m planning on doing one from start to finish. I use iMovie which comes with Apple products. I currently use a MacBook Pro with the M3 chip.

Hello, I had a quick question for you! Which go pro would you recommend: Hero 10, Hero 11, Hero 12, or Hero 13?

@@showtimecam.2 If money isn’t an issue, I would buy the newest camera, the 13, it’s currently on sale on Amazon for $299, the bundle for $349 like I bought. Every GoPro I have owned has been a consistent upgrade, even though there aren’t a lot of differences in the newer ones. The battery has changed in the 13 and lasted 12 minutes longer during my testing, so that’s a win. (1:14 compared to 1:02 with the Hero 12.). If you go with an older model, like the 10 - 12, the batteries will not be compatible from the 13 forward. As I pointed out in this video, the Hero 10 and newer are all great cameras. The newer ones just have upgraded run length. There are some awesome deals on Amazon right now, I have the links down in the description field along with all the accessories and mounts in the video.
