Thanks for running through all these new specs! I don't care much about the higher frame rates and stuff but I love the look of the picture quality! Jury is still out on whether I pick up a Hero 6 or not though :)

Yeah I don’t really use the higher frames rates often either but it’s nice to have the options. I’ve been most impressed with the stabilization and video quality. However, I don’t think this video quality will appease to everyone so interested to see how people feel about it. The colors are much more POPPY than what it looks to the eye. But I like it just fine. I’m willing to bet you’ll get a new one sooner or later. Lol. Thanks for the comment.

+artofcip it’s greatly improved over the Hero 5. I haven’t played with it much but that was one of the first things I noticed after using it for a few hours. I’ll post a video sometime soon about it.

Yes Sir, glad to have stumbled upon your video as I am a proud & first time owner of an action camera the GoPro Hero 6. So stoked about this camera's feature packed performance I can't put it down & have been using it on a daily basis, I have for many years used my smartphones for video recordings but they can't hold a candle to the GoPro Hero. This device has all the future proof features HEVC codec, 4K 60fps, dual band WiFi & USB Type C port, my first question is of software related I have downloaded the GoPro Multi Controller app installed to my smartphone but was unsuccessful in pairing or connecting the devices. I get a message on my phone saying camera not connected to WiFi despite matching the camera name & password on both devices, please advise me on this regard & secondly where to find lens & display tempered or plastic glass protector as I am concerned with scratches to this expensive device, cheers.

I'm coming from a Hero4 Silver and hardly used it. I found out GoPro studio doesn't exist anymore so what program should I used to edit my new videos from the 6? I have windows 10 if that matters. Also will my SD card I had from my 4 silver work with the Hero 6? Its a Lexar 633x and 64GB if that matters. Thanks you

Actually GoPro studio does still exist if you already have it on your computer you can still use it. It's just that GoPro is not updating the program anymore or offering it. So if you delete it off your computer you want be able to get it again. As far as other programs go I have only used two programs, GoPro Studio and Final Cut Pro X (fcpx). FCPX is for Mac computers only so I have not had any experience with other editing programs. However I know there are quite a few good ones. Try a couple that offer a free trial period so you can test them out and see what you like. You SD card should work just fine with the new camera. I had a Hero 4 Silver and I am using the same SD card with my Hero 5 and Hero 6. Just check with GoPro website because they give a list of recommendations for SD cards. I also have a video in my GoPro Newbie Must-Have Accessories playlist that talks about SD cards. Should help you out a bit.

Cool video for sure and first time here to your channel. I currently time lapse everything with the GoPro3 Silver. I wonder how the zoom/TL tunes out on the GoPro??. Does the imagine blur or hold its quality?? Also, my battery used to capture almost 3 hours of footage in TL mode but I'm down to about 2 - 2 1/5 hours worth. How long will the GoPro6 shoot for?? Last but not least, I just Subscribed to your channel and would appreciate you doing the same. Have Gr8 weekend and looking forward to your future videos. Cheers

Thanks for visiting the channel. I have only messed around with the zoom function briefly but it does seem to hold the quality when it is zoomed in. I have no idea how long the Hero 6 will shoot time-lapse. I know it will shoot video for about 1.5 hours without stopping but I don't know how that compares to time-lapse. I'll check out your channel later this weekend when I get some free time.
