I have a question; I would like to know what your thoughts are on color profiles "in camera" for best color matching in FCPX when mixing these two GoPro's? Quick capture saves the battery ? in many video i have seen quick capture feature drains the battery.

I have had a 7 black for over 3 years and waiting on my new 8 to come, (chose it over 9 and 10) the 7 has had mild issues through the years, mostly corrupt files, and the quick capture not wanting to turn on and especially off, almost comical is me repetitively saying go pro stop recording on my fishing videos, what would cause this non response to quick capture button ? I use battery until it stops and then plug in external charging block, I try to unplug charging block at 90%+ but it may go to 100% and I think that cause trouble???? also front lcd screen has black marks in it permanently, no fix for that

Dear Werner, I am following you on YTube since 2 months and i really appreciate yours recommendations and tips concernning the GOPRO.I have the 7Black one and before the 6one.I have the 7 Black one and before the 6 one. I've found a lot of settings regarding videos but still looking for setting for photos. Hi Fred, I use FCP. For Photos I normally use RAW. But you need Lightroom to edit the files. IMO Superphoto creates nice results as well. I made a Video on the Photo settings last year (for the Hero 6) and a Photo Quality comparison Hero6 vs Hero7. Check out my channel if you are interested. I am planning a Photo settings tutorial for the Hero 7, but the list of projects is long. Greets!

Davinci resolve works great. Use Protune - Flat, low sharpen settings. You can adjust the saturation and sharpening easily in post production. Makes a HUGE difference.

Hi Werner, die 4000 Abonnenten geknackt 👍super hast du dir verdient. Ich habe mir jetzt auch die 7 black gegönnt bin aber wegen dem schlechten Wetter noch nicht wirklich zum ausprobieren gekommen. Im Februar geht's in die Karibik natürlich mit den Gopros. Würdest Du mit Flat filmen und im Schnittprogramm Colorgraden? Lohnt sich deiner Meinung nach der Aufwand? Oder ist die 7 B mittlerweile so gut das man sich das sparen kann. Ich werde mit der 6B und Gimbal und der 7B filmen. Vielleicht kannst du mal ein Video machen wo du Gopro Automatik mit Flat/CG vergleichst. Gruß Rainer

Kein Cinematic Lut wie deines sondern auf natürliche Farben. community.gopro.com/t5/Cameras/HERO7-Black-LUTs-for-Rec709-Sun-amp-Cloudy-Days/m-p/248653 Mit deinem hatte ich Anfangs Probleme aber es lag nur am Weißabgleich (native). Use the voice command to turn camera on and off.. set the settings to voice command, and just say "Go pro start recording." and to stop recording just say "Go pro stop recording" and so on..

How do you change the video settings for the seven silver? The only options are 1080, 1440, and 4K. The settings option is not the in the home page for the GoPro seven silver.

You do that by touchscreen. Touch the 1080 and repeat until your preference shows up.

The part they don't advertise, GoPro cameras are not compatible with an external microphone EXCEPT FOR the GoPro Hero BLACK cameras. Black NOT silver nor white.
