Starting at 0:20 its quite obvious why gopro gave you the camera to test and make a video pre release. The short film you created is awesome. Cinematic, Colorful, action packed and inspiring. Wow. Great job.

The most important features for me on a gopro is the low light capture problem. I hope the gopro 11 has improved on that..

Gopro footage looks twice as good when played back at 60fps. It's strange that not even GoPro released their promo video for the 11 at 60fps. I understand that if you were using the gopro as a C or D cam on a job then you would shoot for 25fps but if the entire montage is one action camera then why not utilize the camera to it's full potential? You have the option of displaying twice as much data per second but you choose not to, strange. Imagine how slick 120fps footage would look played back at 60fps. Ya you can't slow it down as much but let's be honest, slow motion is over rated. But Barry it won't look cinematic at 60fps! 🤮 I've been an editor for 20 years now I'm so sick of hearing that. People don't even know what that means. This is an action camera, it will never be a cinematic camera, we need to accept that and make the most of what we got with these little action cams. Okay rant over. Awesome video BTW.

That damn media mod. The GoPro community has been BEGGING for bluetooth mic support in these cameras since the GP5. What is the point of a compact, durable, waterproof camera if you have to open it and hang 3 other pieces of junk on it just to get usable audio? It's clearly about the money, so fine - sell it as a separate software unlocked feature if you must. As is, the 11 continues the GoPro tradition of being a giant pain in the butt for everyone on a motorcycle...

Hey mate sweet video thanks. Just 1 question for you. I have the GoPro 11 specifically for surfing and I often have water droplets on my shots. Like 8/10. It doesn't ruin it but it's definitely irritating. Wondering if you do anything specific for this problem, or just the standard lick-and-go technique (i find it doesn't work as well with this version). Any help is appreciated, from anyone!

Yeah 360 cameras are my favourite for sure because of the framing options! But the image quality and slow motion on the regular GoPro is still the best option on the market I think

Thay horizon leveling will be super useful thanks for showing how extreme it when I'm backpacking and shooting sometimes if I want to film a sketchy scramble or water crossing I'll just put the gopro and grip in my water bottle pocket on my shoulder strap and a lot of the footage is crooked when I go back to look at it I'll get some decent footage but alot of it is off and a mess to edit the example you gave seems like it's going to be a good upgrade from my hero 8 thanks for the review

One thing I found with the 11 is the way I'm going to have to grow my fingernails a little longer. Getting that micro SD card out is irritating. I wasn't aware that I'd have to remove the camera from both the Volta and the media mod to pair it with wifi and to remove the sd card. Even uploading clips to the cloud is time consuming because file sizes are so large, and because I have to disassemble the two add ons.

Please do not believe this I just lost my Gopro after being used for the first time , i was walking in a pool and placed my arm under 20 cm of water it was dead right away and after plugging my Volta remote thinking its the battery it killed the Volta remote after it turned very hot 🔥 almost to catch fire , I wish I know how to share some pictures with you, but for real this is not a good choice , save your money , contacted Gopro and Best Buy Canada both said the same throw it in the garbage.

Without live preview its useless for most people unless you strap it to your car or chest or bike. Want to use a gimble or extension pole or do any movement where your eyes are not right behind the camera? Good luck with that.

Yes of course! Hyperview is not even a default setting. Only a mic input on the media mod, not the GoPro itself

I wish all cameras & i mean all cameras had horizen lock. That way no matter how you position ur canera it will stay level. That needs to be an industry standard! Also the changing or chiosing the aspect ration after you finish filming needs to be standard!
