Never hurt it, it was always fed, didn't have competition, etc. Well one day it decided to attack my kid brother (who was only 9) for absolutely no reason. We were outside and my brother was playing far from the dog, and I was watching him play from a distance. Without cause, the dog ran to him, started biting at his face and tried to kill him. I picked up my brother and ran him inside the house, then went back outside to put down the ravaging dog, with a baseball bat. tl;dr, because you have down syndrome: pit bulls are assholes.

Inspired by this video, I decided to do the same thing with my golden retriever. The fucker seemed to pretend to be super sad when I left, then immediately ran over to her toys and squeaked the shit out of them. Then she happily went to sleep on the forbidden couch, and then barked at her own fart. When I came home she was laying in the sunlight next to the door. Didn't even blink when I came in, but started wagging her tail as if to pretend she cared that I had returned. Reminds me of myself, in a way. Mostly the fart barking.

Well, we have raised him from an age where he had to be bottle fed so even though he goes outside during the day he will frequently come back in and check on us. (I think we spoiled him completely). In general :) cats tend to care a lot about you if you treat them right- we've seen that with many of ours so far. I have also seen dogs who are okay with their owner leaving for a while if they have another dog as companion, but okay you are right most are waaay more dependent on their owners than cats. Some to the point where you cant go to the bathroom without them because they are traumatized from being discarded like trash :( . Personally, I would not keep any type of pet alone if they are social animals, at least get a pair of them- although I'm aware that having two dogs is very much work and painfully expensive, its worth the effort. I help out at a pet shelter and what people do to their pets makes me sad, sorry for the rambling

German Shepherds are very smart dogs, and can become a problem if they don't get enough stimulation and exercise. There was plenty of stuff in that apartment for him to tear up if he was bored. The fact that this dog was so calm after his owners left is actually a sign that they're doing a good job.

Truth. She's a good dog and didn't chew up any shoes or anything. If she had real bad separation anxiety , you would see the results. She just waited calmly, and patrolled the house. And when they came back she was happy, but not spazzing out frantic. She seems very well adjusted. Of course she will always be the most happy with her pack.

They probably took it for a long walk or jog or to the dog park earlier before leaving for dinner. It actually takes good amount of skill and micro adjustment to your schedule to accept a dog intelligent like German Shepherd into the family. But once you get the stride going and they become well-behaved dogs like this one, they are one of the better breeds.

They're incredibly intelligent. I love them more than any other dog breed. Although I have spent a lot of time with other dog breeds, such as Doggie de Bordeaux, Huskies, Pit Bulls, American Bulldogs, Rotweilers, etc. I still think GSDs are the absolute best. They've got all the best qualities. I spent the last five days house sitting for my brother and his wife, and they have a 1 year old Husky with epilepsy. All he knows is love, it's the cutest thing. He doesn't care about being pet, he just wants to lick your hands and your feet constantly. He's super excited all the time, always energetic, and he loves to sit on parts of your body. It's like his way of protecting you. As long as his butt is touching you, he feels like you're safe. It's the cutest thing.

I have a gsd and I know this is EXACTLY what he does. he has extreme separation anxiety though and until recently from working with him more and more he had chewed through a wall, broke. through a double pain window and screwed up alot of furniture but trying to escape to find me. he now gets alot more exercise of the body and mind. I stay home with him now, and when I do leave he will pace and then lay down right beside the door until I get home. my husband has sent me videos of him being so upset that I left he would actually cry and lay there until I got back. they are such emotional and devoted creatures. it breaks my heart if he can't go with me somewhere so I just don't go most of the time lol I send my husband to the store with a list of stuff to get. I have an unhealthy relationship with my dog (so I'm told by the vet) I rely on him and he on me for everything:/ but I love my boy and he's like my son/best friend for sure. whoever said a dog is a man's best friend never seen a gsd with his mommy lol
