I always love your videos and am always astonished at how terrifying some of those jumps look. I’ve played around with a couple of my braver show jumpers on some low cross country jumps (just schooling, never competed). I’ve had some brave horses, but I don’t think ANY of them would have ever jumped through that tiny brush hole 😳 I know that was definitely not the most imposing obstacle on that crazy course, but it seemed like it would be very off-putting for the horse (maybe it’s scarier for me, idk). I’ve seen plenty of those type of jumps before (I’m a hunter/jumper rider, so forgive me for not knowing the terminology), but I don’t think I’ve ever seen one with THAT small of an area to jump through. I’d be worried about fitting through there! 😂 That whole course was amazing, love how Caz turned that one line into a bounce. He looks like a LOT of horse; if YOU were having trouble getting him back, that means something! SO talented and fit though, he looked at the end like he wanted to keep going, and maybe do the whole course again! Y’all are an amazing pair, and Caz clearly has the courage and scope to become a 5* horse. Great job as always! (PS- I’ve always ridden hunter/jumpers, and never had any interest in doing eventing. I can do decent dressage, and I’ve got the showjumping down. But the cross country part always terrified me. But I’ve watched so many of your videos now, and it looks SO fun, Ive actually started considering giving it a go! No aspirations to get to your level, but I really might want to try doing the lower level stuff. So congrats on getting a 46 year old -a bit more on the timid side as I’ve aged- interested in doing cross country for real! 👍)

Well. You would be well advised to ask Ian Stark about how he rode the amazing Murphy Himself. The grey that would take strides out everywhere. This horse reminds me of that Legend. What a ride over some very very difficult questions and that second water complex followed by mid air logs everywhere is a nightmare which you made look like trotting poles. Unbelievable ride on what is going to be a superstar. Oh and please pleeeease can we see the from the ground footage of the course. It looked too easy from up top!!!!!

In your first videos without the ears covered, his ears were always facing forward and very focused on what was ahead of him. The cover looks to keep his ears pointed out to the sides even when coming right to a fence. Seems unnatural to his natural expressive state of gallop? Curious as to why it's used, thanks!
