He was over a full second quicker than Gee at split two, if he just scrubbed a bit of speed before the last jump he'd have won the double. That being said, Hill could have made another second on the bottom half of the track before his massive off and even Hart was the quickest at split one before he came into the banked corner almost fully horizontal. Just the nature of the game. Itching for next season now.

Nah, his pedal basically exploded & part of it drove itself in the sole of his shoe. He just about destroyed his foot & some tendons. The crank stayed intact which is crazy considering the force of the impact. I vaguely remember seeing the X-rays on a video of his rehab; no a pretty sight.
