Mint interview! Sport needs more humble character (leg-end) riders to elevate and evolve that interest niche, if the industry wants to survive beyond all other gravity sports and build environments that inspire and are supported by it.

Wonder if he remembers me. Way back, I was the old gipper who, along with Dan Critchlow (and many others), designed and built quite a few courses in the area. Josh and Sam Dale were young shavers, ripping up and showing us their skills. I am 70 now and have great memories. Good luck, Josh, for the future

Many years ago I was a digger at Stainburn Forest and one Sunday we were approached by two young lads in wooly hats, enquiring about the trails. I advised them to warm up on the red before tackling the black and to wear a helmet! They thanked me for my advice without even a hint of a smirk or attitude and went off to ride. I, quite rightly got a heap of ribbing as I had just told Josh Bryceland how to ride a bike! That cemented Josh as a legend to me. He was a lovely young man and has matured into a cracking bloke since.

God Save the Rat. He was my fav DH racer when he was peaking like a Chinese duck, but when he filmed that edit in the FIAT 124 Sport Spider on Madeira (I had a beater 1970 flat hood SS at the time) he carved himself in stone. Fun interview and best of luck to the lad racing in 25!!!!

Rat is one of my favourite riders to watch, such a sick style, one of those riders who makes it look easy and like his bike is just an extension of his body. Would be mint to see him back at world cups

They totally under played what Josh has achieved. This is going to be contentious but I reckon Josh is the most natural talent on a bike in modern times. His ability to generate grip and subsequent corner speed is unreal.

I remember seeing the bike @ Freeride Madeira inthe summer '15 when I hired a bike from them. Was not much into the sceen at that time when they told me that Josh had benn doing a shoot for it a day or two previously. Just chance the hotel I was staying in on a family holiday was about a 1/4 mile away and freeride was the nearist hire shop. Great guys if you ever go.
