No post production image stabilization here, just HyperSmooth. Spenny generally runs ND8's or, if it's really bright, ND16's. They key is to not over-do it with ND filters-it doesn't take much to achieve the perfect amount of motion blur.

Thanks for a video! Really usefull! At what frame rate you expoerting your videos? Ok, understood you are shooting 60fps or 120/240fps for slow motion, but what is export setting? 24 or 30 fps?

Is it a mistake/ typo that he sets the ISO Max at 100? this is the minimum allowable setting... thus the minimum and maximum setting would be at 100. the ISO Max should be at least 400 or 800 right?

I need help to understand. In many GoPro forums I’ve learn that you can’t achieve stabilisation if you use ND filters. Problem is the shutter speed. But the “gimbal guy”, in this video, is using Polar Pro ND filters to achieve motion blur (so I understand). So I suppose He apply the 180^ rule. But stabilisation is working. Don’t understand . Someone can please help?

I've seen him having issues with stabilization and the nd filters since the hero 9, and i remember (not sure tho) that he was using more the nd 8 rather than the higher ones he used to use. Also, he uses real steady, so probably he's turning stabilization on camera off, in that case you could get away with using those filters and then stabilizing in post.

because he is been using gopro for ages, and very well known in snowboard scene. and in the old days before gopro hypersmooth he using all sorts of gimbal to get his shots, he got his god name because he is really good at follow cam on snowboarding, not a lot ppl as good as him, and its not as easy as it looks to follow high speed pro snowboarder, he can even follow the guys at the big air etc..

Follow him on Instagram, or look at stale’s KZbin channel. He shows everything he uses. He shoots with GoPro and has for a long time but will use larger cameras like the red komodo as well.

@@guntechx He's definitely a really talented guy but that doesn't change the fact that the name is stupid if he doesn't use a gimbal. There are actual gimbal gods out there look at Ari Robbins for instance. FPV drones have taken the follow cam position anyway so who really cares about selfie sticks ads anymore. Good day sir.

He isn’t going to just change the name people know him by just to appease people. His entire identity created from his life’s work is behind that name, as that’s what people recognize him as.
