Breathtaking. He absolutely demolishes a world class MXGP field and makes it look effortless. The competitors in 2021 need to up their game.

not taking anything away from TG, he's ultra fast. But it would appear to me the GP depth of field is pretty weak after the top 10, not to mention no where near full gates (what,,, 25 riders?) makes it a bit easier to come through the pack.
@nicolamx02193 жыл бұрын
@@johnnyofast5924 Yes, of course man, I agree. But the track was very gnarly and was very difficult to pass. In fact some other tough dudes like prado ecc. who didn't start good Couldn't get through the riders as gajser did!

@@johnnyofast5924 weak? At least 15 riders have won a GP, and a lot of them have a world title to their name.
@Thjonsson13 жыл бұрын
@@johnnyofast5924 28 riders, and it doesnt matter! The speed in mxgp class is so High There is not many riders in the world that would fit in This class. Except some of the us pro MX riders. This was in russia some teams did’nt go and a couple of riders was injured. The next gp’s Will have at least 30 riders on the gate. 40 is not fun when 20 is gettin lapped and are just in the way of the fast top 15

@@aj99080 He may win a moto or overall but he definitely wouldn’t and COULDNT check out every moto like you say. The US field is far to deep unlike MXGP. When herlings showed up in 2017 for the final round, yeah he completely dominated the field. but to be clear, he dominated racers who had already completed 28 rounds of racing during a 8 month stretch that started beginning of January. Tim would be lucky to end a first year US series in top 3 points with how deep the US field is. Now, after a few years it’d be a different story. You see how euros are winning US moto now, but this guys have been here for years. No one shows up an does great their first year.
@gildo101rossi3 жыл бұрын
@@MichaelAMyers1957 what are you talking about? The AMA isn’t that deep of a field, MXGP is far deeper. 15 guys are won races, several world champions, Gajser would turn up to the AMA & be in the top 3 easy. If the AMA was that deep, when they come race the MXDN they’d be up the sharpe end, they haven’t for years. You go on like the mxgp guys haven’t been riding all year like AMA, they have, they race domestic championships along side the world championship
@MichaelAMyers19573 жыл бұрын
@@gildo101rossi going off regular seasons and not bullshit rona seasons where the schedule is jacked up, MXGP is 18 races spread out of 7 months. US races 29 races spread through 8 months . Big difference there. US field is far deeper than MXGP. And on top of that, MXGP has races with half the gates empty ESPECIALLY the 250 class. As far as MXoN, US is focused on supercross not motocross. US will probably never win another MXoN again. 2 or 3 of the top MXGP riders could make it over here and do good their first year, Herlings, Tim, and Jorge. But they CERTAINLY wouldn’t show up and dominate a whole season. Maybe a race or 2, but 100% not a whole season and none of them would win a championship over here in their first year either. Big facts. Just like no Us guy is going to show up to MXGP and dominate.
@gildo101rossi3 жыл бұрын
@@MichaelAMyers1957 the Gp guys don’t just race the MXGP season, they race multiple domestic championships as well. Most race the British, french, Italian, Belgium & Dutch championships as well. Not to mention the special international one off races. Mxgp is far more in depth, look at mxgp, Gajser, Cairoli, Prado, Herlings, AJ, Seewer, Febvre, Jonas & Coldenhoff could all win a race this season fair & square. Look at AMA Realistically it’s Roczen, Tomac, Webb, Ferrandis, Sexton...maybe AP & AC. But no way you can say AMA has a deeper field anymore, not right now. Chad Reed even said the same thing

A fine example of riding where they're not. As he passed the riders toward the back you could see a stack of riders all in the same rut while Gasjer would rail around the outside picking them all off. At the last GP at Namur I got to see Tony Cairoli get knocked down in the first corner. He didn't make it all the way through the pack but he didn't give up and was riding on some lines I didn't think would pick him up any time or passes. The great riders find the lines that they need to so they can make passes, even on a tough track like Namur that was difficult to pass on. Can't believe that Tony Cairoli is still racing or better yet, still racing at the front. Here's hoping that Gasjer's career is as long and that he's still at the top when he retires.
