Incredible footage and amazingly high quality. The route to Everest looks fearsomely impenetrable and forbidding. Makes you realise just what an achievement it was to actually reach the summit in 1953.

When i had been to Ghorak shep in 1993 with my girlfriend we found 2 small huts there. One of them equipped with an oven, the stone walls hung with a few carpets; we preferred our tent to stay some days and nights in this unbelivable scenery; now that seems like a real village, even at the basecamp they seem to have built a real gueshouse! Greetings from germany.. i'll come back to have tea and dinner over there.

If the base camp can be so adventurous, imagine how thrilling and challenging it would be to climb Mount Everest. With every step, the altitude rises, the air gets thinner, temperatures drop, and the icy paths become even more treacherous. Along the way, unexpected dangers present themselves, but it's the adventurous spirit that pushes through these challenges. Reaching the summit of Everest isn't just a climb; it's one of the greatest achievements in a lifetime

I trekked to Kala Patar back in 1985 when the airport at Lukla was just a grass strip grazed by yaks that had to be moved before the planes could land. Beautiful place and people ❤️
