My thoughts exactly, I finished the video and scrolled down to see some positive, educated feedback about how such an interview flips off the political correctness twaddle, reinforces the power of humor over individualistic stiffness and instead found dumb personal attacks on attitude and character. I personally love the guy. Thought Hell's Kitchen went way too far, but in terms of his UK episodes of Kitchen Nightmares and SOME of the American episodes, I thought he was great. It's really surprising reading the comments. This is pretty standard for Australia; there is nothing here that is classed as offensive to anybody really. I mean, this could appear on any show past 8:30pm at night. Even the 'C' word can be used after 9:30pm on any station. It just isn't such a big deal in Australia (more the themes that are explored). It's times like this that I realise that America is so repressed, and you can see when Australian (and British) people are interviewed on American talk shows, that they just play it straight and are too nervous to say or do anything that would be deemed 'salacious' by the networks. ...it just makes for sterile, boring television. I remember once, Russell Crowe making a joke about his pubic hair growth when he was a teen on Letterman. You could see Letterman trying to close it down and move on as quickly as possible. I mean, it's 'The Late Show' and people can't deal with mild jokes about pubic hair? Or swear words? Are we children?
