Opal Wolf no, sorry. I would say you are right if it were any other hotel in the world, not in the French Quarter. People visit there specifically because public intox is allowed and noise is expected. If you book a room in the French quarter or garden district anytime close to Mardi gras, its buyer beware. you should be expecting exactly this and worse. You want the experience without the noise, rent from one of the high rise hotels at least above the fifth floor or go further outside of the city. Gentilly, Marrero, Harvey, Metairie, Chalmette. Or New Orleans East but only if you want to get mugged by black street hoods. If you're there for business, either pay for executive class accommodations or reschedule. Mardi gras is the busy season for these small hotels, servicing drunks and rabble is where they make their money.

Having Gordon do the narration raised the level of quality for hotel hell over American kitchen nightmares so much.
