I rate Gordon Parsons a close number 2 behind Buddy Williams when it comes to Australian country music.

@@outbackhighways4596 Believe it or not my father went to Sunday school with Buddy Willams in Dorrigo & my mothers first boyfriend in Bellingen was Gordon Parsons, Found a few love letters between the two after my mums passing, Gordon would visit our family farm at Raleigh on the Bellingen river as a child as they remained family freinds.

@@david1966-d1h Very interesting bit of family history you have there, thanks for sharing it. As I mentioned above, I rate Buddy Williams and Gordon Parsons the best of the early Australian country music singers, and probably Tex Morton comes in at 3rd.

@@outbackhighways4596 Agreed, I grew up listening to these legends, I have an old homemade tape somewhere of Gordon playing his guitar & singing in our house. He also loved coming to our little farm so he could have a bit of a fish in the river.
