Ended up meeting Gordon Ramsay in a restaurant in Las Vegas back in 2019 where his film crew took over an upscale burger restaurant to film one of his 100 shows with his other chef buddies. He came by each of the tables an apologized for holding up the kitchen, since they wanted to get his orders out before everyone else. He was actually very polite and smiling person, 100% he does this all for the camera.

I mean, the customers are the victims. When he talks to them, he knows that. He talks to the chefs that way because they’re the suspects.

It's not for the cameras, in fact he could give a rats ass about the cameras rolling such as when he pulled Matt up when he told him "To check the cameras" Hell's Kitchen is more than a competition to Gordon, it's HIS restaurant meaning it's his money and his reputation on the line when it comes to the fuck ups in the kitchen, anyone that owns as many restaurants as Gordon does will be pissed the hell off whenever something isn't up to their standards and there's been times where he would always place himself in front of the chefs whenever they do fuck up especially when VIPs are involved because those customers aren't there because of the show if anything that just happened to be a bonus to them but they are just your average everyday individual going out to eat at a restaurant including the VIPs and they will be looking straight at Gordon for answers whenever they don't get their food. In fact, the first season of Hell's Kitchen the first few dinner services literally had entire tables just walk the hell out because the service was that bad, it makes Gordon look like an idiot.

Chef Ramsay is turning it up for the show - he admitted to it in an interview. Whenever someone gets eliminated or even behind the cameras, he sits down with them and gives advice. The stuff shown in the show is purely for entertainment. When you watch him cooking with his kids at home or in talk shows, he's a really nice guy, always cracking jokes.
