I loved the ending with Gordon running. Made it funny. That’s the kind of stuff that will keep me watching. Just sprinkle a little bit of silliness for a surprise. I wouldn’t know what great cooking looks like if it hit me over the head, but great cooking as always.

I agree. Should of used the butter as spread on the grilled bread. Also looked to me like the bacon was only crispy on one side. 10 years ago if this sammie was on Kitchen Nightmares he would of crucified the chef/owner.......

Some of those things in Kitchen Nightmares was absurdly big. Like I order the 4x4 at In and Out and that isn't as big as the one Giant patty from the Burger Kitchen in Kitchen Nightmares. Also he has accepted that Americans love the big portions.

the bread was soft, the bacon wasn't cooked properly, the lobster was so overcooked that was obviously tough like rubber, the eggs were absolutely unnecessary...the best part of this sandwich were the lettuce and the tomato! I don't know what you know about food but this is a shitty sandwich!

The magic of the BLT is its simplicity and how well these three essential ingredients go together. Once you add a bunch of other stuff, it ceases to be a BLT. It's like calling a bacon cheeseburger a "BLT" because it contains bacon, lettuce and tomato.

I really hope the Maine lobster industry can recover from the Covid Crisis. I go to Maine every summer and our house is close to a local lobsterman. We have been buying from him for 20+ years. We always do a big bake and invite him to it too. Some years he shows some he doesn’t, but hey that’s a Mainer. The nicest people you’ll ever meet but on their on time! He told me how brutal missing a tourist season was. That and shrinking lobster population is why the price is so high rn.

I'm a big fan of the BLT but would never have imagined doing it with eggs and onion rings. I usually go with oven baked salmon for my fish choice just because it's easier to prepare. But I digress - what I see here looks incredible. Two thumbs up for you sir!

@@josephbartholomew I mean honestly, Food has commercialised even at the top level: it's not so draconian anymore. An Apple pie just needs apples in it but some have Sultana's / apricots , even caramel. As long as it's bulk taste and presentation is that of an Apple pie, no one sensible will not call it an apple pie.

while not having the best restaurants or the best chefs, one thing that is undeniable is New Englands quality of ingredients. Farms are around every corner, raise cattle on every other house, fishing lines that supply the entire country. Truly one of the best places for farm to table food in the world

8:28 A Scot telling people that a Maine BLT has lobster, egg AND avocado (the avocado famously being native to Maine, of course.....). If a chef performed like that on HK, Gordon would literally shit himself screaming at the contestant (while using the word 'literally' incorrectly 5 times).

That cowboy burger had a 1lb patty on a tiny bun and tasted like shit. This sandwich, all together, probably isn’t even 1lb and it’s proportional to all the other ingredients. It’s also probably meant to be shared, so mot at all the same as that ridiculous “cowboy” burger.

Bacon is burnt on outside; undercooked inside. Takes awhile to render bacon that thick. Would be too chewy for me, but maybe some people like it like that??

There is not a single component not doused in fat, or itself fat. Bread - spread with olive oil Lettuce - dunked in leftover lobster butter Lobster - did i mention lobster butter? Bacon - its bacon... Tomato - more olive oil Mayo - more fat Bread - spread with olive oil
