I never can watch more than 2,5 episodes in a row, because it is so stupid obviously ALWAYS the same plot, the same characters, same denying nacisist-toddler-chef, same "shout-out", same "coming clear", the very same BS just enacted by different changing people .. he even has found bones in Sheppard Pies, in Burger, Italian Meatballs, and he always detects them on the first bite with the very same tooth he declares broken :-D .... if there was any "reality" in this, that stopped after they got sued for fake-shitting a restaurant in post production ... and that was the very first episode 😀

this is scripted television entertainment, guys 😀 of course that is a propper working and good restaurant and was before the show took stage there and used the Restaurant and the Staff used as cheap props for your always-same-old-story!! if that Chef had the same training in Paris in the same class with G.Ramsay, why would G.Ramsay have to teach him again putting a fish filet "slowly and away from you" into hot fat, to prevent burns from spilling ... this is first year cooking year "skills", cause that year is almost completely about "HOW NOT TO CUT YOURSELF or others", and second lecture is "how to sharpen knifes", including and followed up by "dont cut yourself, lvl2, lvl3", and THEN they start to learn cutting ingredients, and when the HOT SCHOOLING starts when "the cutting" have reached professional standard, the Flames&Heat (and nowerdays --180°C liquids) are intruced with a similar intense teaching of "DONT BURN NORE BOIL NORE FRY OR GRILL YOURSELF" .... Andy had really hard time when he had to swallow all he knew and hold back what he does playing the dumbass as it is his part in the contract and the screenplay ! The chef comes off as extremely abusive-and his wife comes off as a woman who’s been living with an abuser. She’s been verbally abused into submission. If he’s like that at home to… I’m genuinely worried about his saint of a wife. That is not a healthy relationship obviously even Gordon sees it. And you can tell the way he eyes the wife and what he’s been saying-he seems constantly astounded about how he speaks to her. I almost feel bad for him because he clearly felt uncomfortable *not* being able to intervene in the way he feel like he should in that situation. A narcissist would be my first assumption, honestly.

Whether he was ever physically abusive is a guess, yeah. But there is no debate over the fact that her was mentally, verbally, and emotionally abusive to his wife. Gordon did even have to step in to tell him to stop. And it’s even obvious by the way they sit-she consistently leans away from him, or is as far away as she can get within the camera’s availability.
