There was no ottomans in Morocco, and there no ottomans in the 12 century, the ottoman state started a century later in Anatolia, and reached moroccan borders in the 16 century. The moroccan hammam is a direct descendant of the roman bath.

Chef Ramsay am also a chef, let me correct you on the issue of bath: since ever, there was no whatsoever Ottoman's governance or influence on Moroccan history, patrimony and civilization until today... In matter of traditional baths, there was Moorish bath in Morocco and Iberian peninsula during 8 centuries of Moroccan ruling, then Turkish bath in middle east until algeria after Ottoman's final expansion

اقدم الحمامات في المغرب كانت منذ العهد المرابطي و لا زالت اثارها موجودة الى الان و في الاندلس كنت السنة الماضية في مدينة فارو في البرتغال و صادف وجودي هناك اكتشاف مدينة إسلامية قديمة و من المعالم التي تم تقديمها لنا الحمام. لا أعلم من أطلق كذبة الحمام التركي هذه. الحمام ليس تركيا بل هو مغربي موري. لماذا ينسبون اي معلم حضاري قديم الى الشرق. و كان الغرب كان يسكنه الموتى
