+Realyisraeli I agree with you that the brown rice takes more time but you can cook the rice in around 10 minutes by using a pressure cooker or having the water boiling when you put on the rice( I know some people already do that). Forgot to say that it all depends on the amount of rice that you're cooking, I made around 2 servings in those times.

They do have mess halls in their bases but imagine this: It's Afghanistan, do you think they'll have time, manpower, and resources to build a mess in a airbase that's sitting in a war zone?
