People absolutely DON'T need as large of portions as we are used to eatting. Look how fat our country is getting. We eat at least 3 to 5 times the amount we need and wonder why our clothing keeps getting tighter! Enjoy your food but don't gouge yourself on it! Foods need to be enjoyable and fulfilling. Eat more variety and types of foods instead of just more food. You'll truly enjoy foods and deserts and find them much more satisfying if you take the time to make it better tasting! New moto: Eat ANYTHING you want instead of EVERYTHING you want!

Oh Gordon - I think you should totally do a Kitchen Nightmares show with one or all of the KBS Enterprises restaurants in Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg Tennessee. ( Holston's, Crockett's Breakfast Camp, No Way Jose's, JT Hannah's, Greenbrier in Gatlinburg, Five Oaks Farm Kitchen, Blaine's Bar & Grill). Your best bet would be JT Hannah's - the newer restaurants are a little more in order, but the older ones they have are off the chain and need some Gordon Ramsay throw down for sure.

I personally believe it should be illegal for a company to have they're own inspectors. I'm from Florida and that is the thing that makes most of these places so horrible, they get warned ahead of time from they're chains that the inspection is coming, if they didn't have that system they would be shut down immediately, it's so hard to find a good well based restaurant where I am from. I only have two places I go to eat at. It's sad. I've seen yellow chicken 🟡 and turning steaks at some places it is sickening and horrible. Cook at home here...

If you mean chef of a restaurant I would say not only having knowledge of the restaurant but also the right manner of running it. You would need experience in a good kitchen to have this feel. Here's what you can do with a real kitchen; walk in the back door. Ask for the chef. This is how you get a job, if they refuse you or don't let you in to speak to them it isn't worth your time professional wise. A good kitchen always helps those in need when able.

I strongly recommend anyone here to grow your own herbs. these plants take a ridiculous beating (they grow back stronger the more you harvest them lol), don't require that much maintenance, don't take up a lot of space, and will save you tons of money in the long run since herbs are super expensive at the store. Not to mention also that you get them as fresh as possible when you grow them yourself
