Not surprising at all. No modern from-scratch dishes can compete with recipes that have been refined and passed down over generations in a single culture. There's a reason Gordon is here, he knows that this is the best sort of food that can be found anywhere, and he wants to learn and incorporate the best of humanity's cooking techniques into his own skill set.

@@SuperBustyEva Being angry does not justify smashing the meat, if that's not obvious. He hates having to throw out food, why? Because it's his money being thrown away. Actually not mad about the food going to waste. You know, those "failures" could just be fed to strays or homeless people who would settle for less. Guess what? Those get thrown out in actual dumpsters for flies and maggots to feast on someday. He even scattered those wasted food on the street floor and made HK contestants pick them up barehanded and barefoot as punishment on one episode. "Think of the thousands of dollars you've wasted last night" he says. It was deplorable. But yeah you go defend the sweary chef. He is a hottie, after all.
@michaelx697

@@augusteuxkampvell9495 I mean it's an intense cooking competition where they're meant to experience the pressure and consequences of being in a restaurant cooking. There would never be that much yelling etc in a kitchen but what Gordon teaches them is discipline with their cooking and what they serve their customers. When raw food is served at an expensive restaurant, he shows it's not okay and smashes the meat. This guy isn't intending to waste food, instead he's getting a point across. Not to mention the real charity work he's done. If the chefs do it right, then there is never an issue, when you join an intense cooking competition that expects the greatest out of yourself then there will be pressure on you by people who need you to perform. If you don't like his technique, which has been successful for many, then I guess you don't have to watch it.

On a side point, why do TV programs always use that particular type of music when they film India 😂 it's feels like they have a CD of 'Indian' tunes that every channel reuses, I know it's done to make the viewing experience more immersive, but like in this instance, a little traditional Naga music in the back ground would have been better, wouldn't it?

@@VarshaSingh1070 Ofcourse! Let the mainland Indians 1st accept us as Indians, then only we will feel like an Indian. The Govt itself has ignored the NE, we hardly get to watch or read news about NE. There's so much happening there. Like Yday in Mizoram there was a landslide where the Govt had built homes for BPL which killed young and old. This was not even in the mainstream media!
