550 for that is too much. you can probably custom build a sprinter thats alot more spacious and practical for ALOT less
@thejaidedgypsyАй бұрын
@@abrahamdelatorre3246 Yes. You could…IF you had the garage space, the skill set and the time to set aside to do it. We have to stop being so reluctant to pay people properly for their skills. We have become a society so used to crap products from China that are cheap that we forget it takes time and money to even LEARN the skills it takes to design, build and market something of quality that is built to last. The cost HAS to take those factors into account. Remember : this is a car and home in one. It’s designed and built for the kind of rigorous travel and adventure that a cheap van/car would not be able to cope with. And it’s also a replacement for a brick and mortar home that stands still.

Cheaper than a Unimog. A number of videos that go you did a "DIY" plywood T1N Sprinter that was built in 4 days as I recall. Today we see ~$500k Beauty of a Beast. There's a rig for everyone and Tocci to tour it. Sorry won't be seeing you in Hood River. Currently in grizzy country (black bear, cougar and wolf too) heading home. Only 2,500 miles to go.

If it sleeps 6 but only has room for 4 in the truck cab, is it safe or possible for two or more to sit in the back while traveling down the road. Do the other people need to drive a separate car or rig to meet you at the camp site?

These builds aren’t for everyone just as there are many different types of boats in the water. The people that understand the price know that 1/5 of the price is in the truck itself. Not to mention the outside components with suspension and tires can be 10’s of thousands of dollars. People don’t know until they know

I posted a $50k trailer build last week 😅 but I do show a lot of higher end builds so you’re right there. Tbh I’d love to show more inexpensive builds but they have to be diy and NOT looking to start a company. I say that because most of the ‘cheaper’ builds are done with a lot of safely issues. It’s hard for me to ‘promote’ someone that raises red flags to me regarding safety. I will focus finding more $60-120k builds

@@JarrodTocci Part of the beauty of the “no budget”/expensive build is it gives the space to push the envelope of what’s been done in travel vehicles. Lots of inspiration can be gained from expensive builds like this and applied to a budget build. Imo lots of the budget build videos end up feeling copy and pasted. Love how you tour these!
