I spend 3 days on this. Every now and then I pause, and look over and over again, going pack repeat. Incredible. Where did we common folk went wrong? At least thank you so much for posting this, otherwise it would never have been possible for me to see such glorious splendor. But for now, with couple of hundred metres of a variety of golden frames and moulds, I'm creating my own Baroque theatre.

The day I spent here was one of the highlights of my trip to Germany. My only regret was that I did not know that the Nymphenburg Porcelain factory was closed on weekends as I wanted to see that on the day I went to see the palace.

That's unfortunate, this is also one of my highlights, loved it!

@@happytravel888 Went on a shoestring budget: Nymphenburg factory was closed and couldn't afford the side trip to Meissen when I was in Dresden. Maybe another time if I'm lucky.

It's called the Gallery of Beauties. One of them is the infamous Lola Montez, mistress of King Ludwig I. It was quite stunning to see. Also, one of the smaller palaces on the grounds is actually a very elaborate indoor bathing pavilion.

That would have to be one of the highlights of any tour.

Actually, it isn't. First, not that many rooms are open to the public, and it's worth half a day to stroll the grounds to see the fountains, other smaller palaces, and the museum of carriages (1st floor) and Nymphenburg porcelain (2nd floor). However, I discovered that the Nymphenburg Porcelain factory which is in the front of the palace complex is not open on weekends.
