You should get yourself a cheap, black bedsheet set up as a backdrop with a really good spotlight to showcase each piece for the video. It would help us all see the details and cuts much better AND it would probably help you get more views. Just my two cents. Cool rocks, man. 😉👍

I'll pitch in that a "daylight" bulb really lights things up for cameras, but-- it can add too much blue-- so some combo of daylight bulb and incandescent / halogen / warm LED bulb.. or edit the video to reduce the blue + make other adjustments is another idea..

Being from Western Oregon, banded iron is not something I get to see here - how gorgeous! When my wife and I went to Casper WY to visit her family, she hated the flatness and desolation and complained the entire time...I spent MY time picking up amazing new (to me) rocks from the road cuts and stream beds. I had a blast, but I also rarely looked up lol I had to buy a pair of cargo pants just for my walks.

Love that banded iron❤ sometimes when I see amazing stuff, my mind wants to stitch it together with other things I love. In this case, I instantly saw a trinket box with the lid inlaid in a mosaic of banded iron and various colors of tiger eye.

I can't wait to slice a pile of mine . I'm selling a boat to get a saw 😂 I have your answer to seeking better hematite swirls. If you want a great trip next year for banded jasper and add in some more rare gem stones we have in my stomping ground. Hit me up . But as support to you for what you do. Not inviting everyone else on your Chanel 😊.

Its awesome and beautiful but its against federal law to pick up rocks or arrowhead s in any public lands or parks including getting arrowheads out of creeks and rivers. And rocks and fossils. If it was not then all public places would be destroyed and empty. The rocks you take are technically mine and everyone elses that reads this.

You are NOT correct. I live in Casper, Wyoming... but, anybody can Google "Rockhounding Wyoming Laws" and the first thing that pops up is a direct quote from The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) official website. It reads as follows: "Rockhounding is recognized as a legitimate recreational pursuit on nearly all of the 18 million acres of public land in Wyoming. These public lands administered by the BLM are open to everyone to take limited amounts of rock material for noncommercial purposes without charge."
