@GardeningatDouentza how fast does it grow? I just can't wait to see it trunking up and become like a tree
@GardeningatDouentza2 ай бұрын
@@rraqua1279 Well, I'm not really sure how fast it grows into a tree but it doesn't take long to reach about 3-4ft and have really big leaves (maybe a couple of years). Some people cut it back regularly to keep it that size.

Hello Rachel, your garden is absolutely stunning. It's like touring an estate garden. ❤

Thank you, Wanda, but I feel sorry for whatever lord ended up with such a small estate 😅 Hope you are keeping well

your carden is looking fantastic. Beautiful renovation/renewal of the borders. Thank you for sharing. My garden is quite smal in comparison to yours but I still have colour themed areas of borders, as I enjoy them. Happy gardening 🙂

Very enjoyable tour, your garden is always such a treat. Planting the Persicaria on that bank was a labor of love and a great idea. I am sure you had a lot of work to make it look that beautiful 😊🥰😍
@GardeningatDouentza2 ай бұрын
Thank you so much, Fernanda. It did take a few years for the Persicaria bank to fill in and it does need regular weeding but I'm pleased with it 😊

Nice viewing of your garden. I have a Little Joe Pye weed that is 4 feet tall and much better then the bigger version in my bog garden.

I really loved so much this tour.... The Monarda is still blooming? I'ts the second time? Beautiful the Eupatorium....What kind is it,mine is always falling down.....
@GardeningatDouentza2 ай бұрын
Not quite sure if it's just lower stems blooming on the monarda or what. I also have no species name for the eupatorium as it was grown from seed a long time ago.

Thanks for a nice video. I'm wondering how do you cut the grass around all the edges? It is very difficult for me to cut the grass around edges. They are growing wildly.
@GardeningatDouentza2 ай бұрын
Yes, you need some tools to do it - a half moon edger and a grass shears.

How do you deal with the tree stumps. Will they not send out new shoots
@GardeningatDouentza2 ай бұрын
Some will certainly send out new shoots. Sambucus, for example, will do this for about five years. The trick is to just cut them whenever they grow and the bush gets the hint in the end.

Different pokers flower at different times. Some, like caulesacens, can flower in early summer and then again later.
