Enjoyable discussion. I have been wondering whether to dive into this one for a while. And it's interesting how many critics portray Plato as being anti-rhetoric based on Socrates's positions here, but it sounds to me much more like he's wary of its dangers rather than advocating a wholesale dismissal?

@@RO-wn1dg Yup, that's right. Plato is very pro rhetoric. It's why he wrote so many dialogues to convey philosophical ideas.
