52:26 was wondering if this worked aswell, looked up the rules: "It [the Aura] can’t enter the battlefield enchanting a permanent that enters the battlefield at the same time." But since Abundant Growth enchants any land, you still can target the opponents lands. And since they tapped out of green, i dont think they could sacrifice that land in response (specifically with Crop Rotation). → It did actually work.

Well, technically, you choose a land, not target one: "... the player who controls the Aura as it enters the battlefield chooses what it will enchant. An Aura put onto the battlefield this way doesn’t target anything..."

Sylvan Safekeeper G1R1 turn 1 seems like an easy force with Karakas in hand (obvious in retrospect), it’s a massive pain to remove in this deck as the game demonstrated. Similar to the GSZ in G2.

52:30 Actually abundant growth won't return from exile because there are no legal targets for it to enchant (it's entering the battlefield at the same time as the lands). So in this instance it wasn't a win. Edit: Actually it works because you can enchant your opponent lands, sorry

Isn't it so that auras that enter the battlefield without being cast can be attached to any permanent they could legally target? I believe this even gets around hexproof and shroud, as they do not technically "target" anything that way

at 1:17:19 -> I would have put in spellseeker and at least waited. If they put in emrakul you can edict. If they put in sneak attack you get hydroblast. You're at 1 life with no board, but they only have volc, island, you have a number of outs or ways to get back into it.

Catching the end of this league a bit late, is there any merit to the thought experiment that Palantir might be better than Court because it ignores pyroblast? In the same way that 4 mana Sorin is playable over Jace/other blue 4 cmc walkers? I don't think I buy it, especially because red is on the decline after be EI ban / with LotR release. But it's an idea for why someone might play it.

I feel like this deck should be playing more Spellseekeer's it seems like an excellent draw whenever you get it, and it represents extra copies of the best cards in your deck. Though it's hard to say what could even get cut for copies of Spellseeker. And it's akward to draw in a lot of spots. So probably not a 4-of

21:22 -- why did you buy Yorion and pass turn instead of just reanimate Worldgorger? With Bowmasters in play you get infinite Bowmaster etb triggers which means you could have pinged your opponent to death for lethal there unless there's something I'm missing. Worldgorger isn't just good for infinite mana, it's good for infinite etb effects... And bowmasters can deal 1 damage to any target on etb... That was a win right there unless there was something else you were playing around that I missed.

Selesnya Depths is not a loam deck. You have to beat their creatures and use the graveyard only incidentally. Having in a bunch of cards that don’t interact with creatures will lose you games.

That feels... Better to hardcast, but worse to combo off with. So it's probably just worse? I suppose there are situations where you end up with a big board that WGD won't win with, but on the flip side, there are situations where the infinite mana of WGD will result in a win where a big board is irrelevant.
