The way Zac plays Gorgug is so important to me. Something about his very candid portrayal of this kid just doing his goddamn best, regardless of his own capabilities, and the way he eventually finds total acceptance is just sooooooo beautiful. It's hard to put it clearly, but I think it's not that he reminds me of himself (I fall way more towards Adaine in terms of identity and archetype), it's that he reminds me of the way I want to make my friends feel.

2:05 I’ve always loved this scene as an Adaine moment with her refusing to put down the gun until she realizes she isn’t trained to do so; never thought of it as a Gorgug moment that shows he understands his friends enough to get through to them so easily but now I have an added level of appreciation for this scene.
