I spent an amazing week in Uganda and Rwanda for a day. The goal was to see the endangered mountain gorillas in Uganda (where more than half are found) and I encountered the Bushaho family in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. During the trip I made some incredible friends, experienced the culture/nature of Uganda and saw some other exciting animal sightings.
Experiences/Areas visited:
-Kampala, Uganda
-Fort Portal
-Kibale National Park for chimpanzee trek
-Banana Man (restinbanana)
-Queen Elizabeth National Park
-Kazinga Channel Cruise
-Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
-"Rushaga Actors Organization" (phone +257-760-337757, rushagagorillaactorsgroup@gmail.com)
-Kigali Genocide Memorial
-Nyamirambo Women's Centre (Instagram (umutima_Rwanda))
This was my first time going on a group tour (gadventures) and the experience overall was great. It was a diverse group with mostly like minded travelers led by two great CEOs (James and Arthur). I would highly recommend it to anyone (plenty of other solo travelers including women) with the funds (this was by far my most expensive trip) and desire to undergo a gorilla trek.
Filmed on Sony Alpha 1 (Sony A1). Sony A6400 brought for back up.
Lenses used: Sony FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM OSS II, Sony FE 2.0X TC, Sony - FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS
Edited in DaVinci Resolve
Music: Hans Johnson - "Awake East Africa (instrumental)" and "Wonder East Africa (instrumental)" from Artlist
