Watched this again and noticed that when Ringo screamed Jabali ran right over to see if he was okay…. Even though he walked right by Iriki who, of course, took his food. He seemed more concerned, along with D’jeeco, that momma Iriki. Of course Iriki knew right where he was and that he was okay. It is just so amazing to see baby Jabali caring about his little brother.❤

Smart little Jabali found the stash before anyone else! That's a sign of a very intelligent, confident, and curious future silverback! He's got great foraging skills already. It looked like D'Jeeco was eyeing Iriki like, "Woman, what have you got there and why is my son screaming at butterflies?!" 😂😂😂 Ringo sure has become a confident little thing as he's got Big Brother to show him the ropes! @ 4:04 Jabali seems more concerned @ making sure his baby Bro is OK then trying to prevent Iriki from taking the food hanging out of his mouth. ;-) He is such a good big Brother. Like he is thinking, "Take it Aunt, I need to rescue my little Brother! He was screaming! Don't Worry, Aunt, go eat, I will save him from any danger After all, Im a big boy and getting strong like my Daddy ! can defend him from those butterflies and any other scary bugs. Ringo screams because he is afraid/has never gone up the perch by himself. I believe Ringo was afraid to go up the perch on that end(narrow log style). Ringo quickly remembers that there are steps on the other side of the perch or he thought I'll try the other side. Ringo is smart and a quick thinkers.😄😇🥰🤗

He bites Tayari and riggles around a lot! She doesn’t seem to understand why he is receptive to her as Jabali. But too bad!He’s his own little gorilla self! 😀

Some great things in this video, the park is fantastic. Mom is confident and knows from baby's cry that he is not hurt, just scared. His cry must have been the equivalent of "mom where are you!" And all the other gorillas knew where she was. Dad and big brother are right there and they also do not go ballistic but just make sure its not a real issue. Also this is Ringo at less then a year, look how he moves. When we see baby gorillas that are that age and can barely walk, this is why it is a concern

Ringo也實在太過黏着阿母了，他一大叫全家成員基本也都一起關注，尤其作為哥哥的J寶就算發現了好吃的洋蔥聽到弟弟叫聲也馬上跑去了解（最後比阿姨搶了洋蔥，真可憐😅），好在最後他也搶回阿姨的一片菜葉補償。

Ringo跟不上媽媽，看到媽媽上棲架沒等他，就緊張得嘟嘴然後大叫，可是Iriki食物還沒拿夠，看兒子也沒怎樣就沒衝去抱他，Ringo這次甚至邊爬棲架邊叫，就像人類小孩一路哭著找媽媽那樣，真捨不得🥺可能小兒子叫了又叫，迪亞哥還往上看老婆到底在幹嘛😄

所以Ringo畢竟還小，牠雖然在媽媽旁邊自在的玩著，但媽媽一離開牠身邊，牠馬上知道～ 在沒有安全感的恐懼下，才會自然而然的大叫～ 小孩子黏媽媽，怕被媽媽拋下的害怕，是不分物種的，真的就是天性啊🦍～💕 後來牠知道媽媽在棲架上，趕快爬上去找媽媽～ Iriki就是知道兒子沒事，才想拿完菜再帶小孩。這段小插曲，讓全部大人小孩都“定格”了🦍🦍🦍🦍🦍～😄

There is a video on KZbin where Ringo is very small, he witnesses his first lightning bolt, and loud thunder clap and screams with fear. The entire troop came running to him, including Jabali who wasn't afraid. I took that to mean Jabali was familiar with thunder. Obviously the two different cries are easily understood by the gorillas, whereas they sound the same to us. Instead of trying to teach animals to speak or use sign language, our so called 'superior' linguists should learn the different cries, grunts, and other sounds animals make, and teach them to us.

Little Jabili is really good at finding hidden food and the poor little guy is always bullied for his food by Iriki, Tari, and Daddio. One day he is going to be a grown gorilla and I feel sorry for his wives because he is going to be a mean Silverback because all the shit he has to put up with by the adult gorillas He barely gets the needed attention from his mother, and Iriki is always mad at him for knocking around Ringo. His Daddio might steal his food, but he shows him love and affection.

Yes, very common to try and take food from each other. This group is relatively chill about it compared to some troops. There is at least the comfort that the keepers monitor ALL their intake and weight and make sure they have enough to eat. The food in their habitat that they have to forage is in addition to the multiple indoor feeds they have each day - no one is going hungry, the food outside is equivalent to extra snacks! If there were any worries about the amount of food a baby, or any individual, was getting, they would separate them during one of their inside meal times and give supplemental milk/food 🙂
