Lope acting very cheeky today! But yep he knows better than to push it too hard with Mama. The thing is if he wouldn't have made a fuss about it, he would have still been enjoying ice as Mama wasn't going to make him get off until he started acting ugly! Shufai sure was cute clinging to Mama! 😊♥️

Shufai still not ready to give up babyhood, unlike Lope who seem to want to do his own thing since he could walk! I guess the Lowland Western Gorillas have evolved and adapted to the winter weather they now live in around the globe given the heat of Africa. I think having 4 seasons is better than oppressive heat and long rainy periods.

What can we say about Lope. 🦍 He never disappoints his fan. Sweet baby Shufai, he looks up to and loves Lope, I think Ozala may tell Shufai not to trust Lope. 😉. I wander if their might be a baby on the way for the family. Ozala breast seem to be looking fuller or producing milk. Just an observation. I guess time will tell. I notice every thing about the family, even Lope and the hair missing on areas of his body. 💖💖💖🦍 SV I been looking at the merchandise for Valentine's day. I am planning picking up a few things. I am Lope #1 fan.

@Princess Monkey, I'm so sorry I missed this post totally. If there is another baby, like @ssdawn, I hope it will be a girl. That would be nice for the family, but she would have to be quite strong minded to cope with Lope and Shufai. 😁I'm sure Ozala would protect her even more than she did with Shufai. I meant to get some more stuff out for Valentine, but unfortunately didn't get the time. Did you manage to get anything?

I didn't, its been a very trying month. I have been fight a cold and sinusitis. The weather here is negative degrees for a few days then up to 60 degrees, every one is sick. Hopefully, just a few more weeks of this crazy weather. I should be sleeping now, I was up watching basketball and able to calm down at 1:45 am. 🤪

Thank you for sharing these videos of our favorite Gorilla family. Can you please tell me what why some Gorilla Mother's rejecting their newborn babies? In some videos even trying to kill them .

I'm sure there are many reasons for this. Ozala couldn't bring up her first born as she wasn't producing any milk. In Bristol the Gorilla mum was too ill to look after her son after the birth, so he had to be hand raised.

We should have a Zoo with Humans in It like this. Maybe people from a serious prison where they’d never get out anyway. Teach them to make shelter, fire, baskets, how to birth their babies, etc. Have one way glass of course, so they don’t even know they are being watched. That would be interesting.
