The Gorillaz version of this song isn't necessarily "fucked up", it makes sense. This is the vocal sound of Gorillaz and this is their signature beat mixed into the original beat of the XX track. I think it sounds pretty good. Do I think it's "way better" than the original, no because the original is beautiful, but this version is good too.

so i am a complete Gorillaz fan. i have every album, listened to every song, know almost all the lyrics to them all, and i listen to them everyday. draw the characters, play the music, and all that stuff. in school i hear everyone listening to some really really shitty music! ITS NOT MUSIC! IT IS THE NOISE THAT MAKES ME THINK MY DISK IS SCRATCHED! so what i did was make a mural (without permission) and next day in school everyone searched them up and started to actually become fans themselves of the Gorillaz! i actually created a school where i would hear the Gorillaz in peoples ipods and phones! 2000+ people are now fans and i am actually really proud of that. i mean i helped clean it up for all you thinking this is wrong. but still. only a few people know i did it. and i constantly hear about it. i think its cool that i could do something so big. THIS BAND IS AMAZING AND NEEDED TO BE HEARD MORE!
