Don't feel like you need to get over it. You won't. My grandmother, who I saw every weekend for the first 16 years of my life passed away 7 years ago. I still think about her every day. Over time the feelings get less sad as you remember not their death but them in general once more. It becomes a happy memory and you feel blessed that although they are gone now, you got to know them and they got to know you. You will never get over anyone's death so to speak, you just find there is so much else to do and so many more people to meet in life. It's not cruel to move on, as that is ultimately, what they would want. Never forget them of course...but no, don't get over them, just learn to cope without them.
