They are Kirats, Buddhists, Bons and simply follow indigenous local nature worshipping religions which have nothing to do with Hinduism. But the king of Gorkha kingdom was Hindu and he recruited these ethnic people from hills of Nepal for Gorkha army. Only Chetris who're originally Khas follow Hinduism in Gorkha army. Brahmin people who are proper Hindu hardly join Gorkha army.

@atanu kar Look Brother. Every State in India is a Hetrogeneous Society consisting of Indigineous & Non-Indigineous Population. The Problem in India is with MIGRATION ( both Legal & Illegal) and because of the influx of Immigration, we are suffering a lot. India is a Land of Diversity where every State is blessed with their own Rituals, Culture, Traditions, Customs, Language, Dialects, Food Habits, etc..etc... but we are slowly loosing everything. So ILP should be implemented throughout the Country 4 the safety of Indigineous People in each & every State, so that the Migration can be controlled at least.

Northeast is not developed because of their own Local Ministers, Insurgency, Lazy Youth and mindset of the people over there. Same goes 4 the above mentioned STATES. Also! Assamese don't support CAA, as they give Priority 2 their Culture First, nor do they support DEVELOPMENT at the Cost of their Culture. Maharashtra, Southern Region are well Developed or highly Developing State, but still they don't want any Outsiders or wanting the Immigration 2 be controlled. Why??? Because, they are loosing their Culture due 2 the influx of Immigration. It's high time 4 us 2 wake up now and start taking some TOUGH Calls via Sacrificing 2 some extent.

We the Brahmins of GORKHA community write Sharma .there are many titles as per the region like Bhandari, bhattrai, pokhrel, paudel, pant , pandey , regmi, Khanal, Dahal etc. 52 of them. But most Gorkhali brahmin living in India write Sharma . May be our forefathers thought this will decrease the racial hatred we have been subjected many times in mainland India. 90% write Sharma as it's the common title for Bhramin...hope u understand now.

Dear mahaipal sir, plz let me correct it Gorkha is not a single community, "Gorkha" was a small Kingdom in nepal. And all the armies were of that Kingdom lead by prithvi narayan shah was called the Gorkha paltan. Gorkha paltan was a unit of army of nepalese people, all the Nepalese people Chetri (kshetriya) ; Rai, Limbu, Gurung, Newar, Basnet, kazi all the nepalese community were part of gorkha paltan. This gorkha paltan under prithvi narayan shah fought war against British army at Sinduligadi in Nepal, where the britishers lost the battle. Gorkha is not another single community, all the nepalese community comes under the Gorkha community. I can explain the history more briefly but here i can't type that long. Instead plz sir you can read it through universities of nepal online. We are the gorkhas We are the nepalese And i am from Assam We thanks to our cm himanta biswa sharma.
