If you really enjoyed this pilot it’s worth taking another watch after doing some research on the characters on the wiki and the Hazbin Hotel website. Vivziepop will be posting comics of the characters in the meantime while the next episode is in production. The character backgrounds are really interesting and lend a lot to the jokes. It even gives the death dates of the characters which have been stated by the creator in social media and streams.

Viv has done a few different works over the few years I've followed her. First project that was popular was the Webcomic Zoophobia, of which, one character makes a color-swapped cameo in Hazbin. The same artstyle is present. Again with her Fan-Made video for Ke$ha's Die Young, that's what introduced me to her first (and was my first introduction to what the furry fandom was, though it wasn't her intent as she doesn't consider herself a furry in the first place -- It features a massive number of Zoophobia characters in the video). She also has a couple SVA Thesis films out, Son of 666, again, featuring characters later seen in Zoophobia, Timber, another SVA film. From what I understand, it took the team not quite 3 years to animate this. It was all hand-animated. From Sketch to Color and shading. They're hoping to be picked up by say, Netflix or Adult Swim. I would like to see Netflix pick them up because they won't have to adhere to the more strict language restrictions. By the sounds of it, they've had contact from a few entities and they're likely in talks to be given the green-light for a series. Viv has it all planned out, start to finish, she just needs the financial backing and the animation teams to make it go. I've heard a lot of smack talk about some sort of rumor that involves Viv and the team, but I don't play politics. I like the show, the art, and the end product and many of her prior works.

I'm speculating Alastor AKA the radio demon is either Charlie's dad, uncle or some other relative. He looks suspiciously similar to her dad in the painting, sings to express himself like she does, and seems to share the same optimism, as well as being super powerful like her parents likely are.
