This video helped me decide on my GR2 Heritage 26L in black. You did mention something I had to email GoRuck about, the waxing seemed very light on the recent run, I just purchased a week ago, wasn't a nice wet wax, I went ahead and ordered some wax and added another coat that got it to where it should've been. Maybe it's a cost saving thing for GoRuck, either way still happy with the purchase. I ran a GR1 26L since 2011, hard use for sure, military duty, then transitioned to civilian life and the GR1 went with me to work, gym and school daily. It's now used as a range bag on pistol days. Worth the investment.

I’m an OG in terms of GoRuck. Have most of the first runs of their bags. What I find most impressive about Goruck is how much they listen to their customers. I remember now that long ago they switched to 500D cordura and manufacturing was outsourced, myself along with many others were a bit unhappy, they rectified it some months later. My hopes is they bring out the pistol cases back, gun rug, and the bigger kit bags (civvy kit bag, mil kit bag), they only offer the 32L kit bags :( anyways keep doing what you do! Thank you!

Bummer about no MOLLE on the field pocket; since I got a GR2 I have been digging having the elevated 3D pocket, so a field pocket lives on the internal PALS on my GR1. Also I love the sand colour. Just wish there was webbing on the straps without needing SCARS to modify it.

If you are interested, it would be great if you could talk about the long-term care of a waxed canvas GoRuck. I have the Heritage Kit Bag, and after traveling with it for a year it could probably use some TLC (nothing is wrong with it, it just shows it has been used). Cheers!

Which color do you prefer? Field Tan or the Brushed Brown? I have the 26L Olive GR1 and the Olive Heritage Claymore bag and they do NOT disappoint!

Still waiting for the GR2 to come back from SCARS. I’ll probably be ISO the claymore because I actually like the olive 😊 Great vid anyway, keep it up!

Man, this is what most of us are waiting for. You are the best. I am between the brush brown and the slate, but I am leaning toward the slate more. Does it looks close to blue, or it's just the camera. Btw my favourite colour is olive. Unfortunately, Gorcuk informed me they have no plan to release olive soon.

Thanks Anas! In my experience they really don't know what's coming out next. I wouldn't be surprised to see Olive come back at some point. The Slate does have a hint of blue. It's really a great color and tough to catch in it's natural state. It changes slightly depending not he lighting. Any all cases it always looks awesome though!

Compared to your 500D GR2s, how are the waxed canvas when it comes to pet hair sticking to it? It’s one of the only downsides I’ve found with my 500d GR2.

I would buy the GR2 that fits your volume requirement for travel. The 34L will be a bit long but doable for travel where you need the space.

I want to pull the trigger on one of these but I cannot get over the visibility of the seams on the outer panel being exposed. Seems to look a bit cheap to me, as they look very stressed in your videos just packed with clothing. Do you have any concerns with this part of the bag or am I over thinking this?

All good choices for sure! The brushed brown is just a darker brown slightly. Can’t go wrong.

@@JBOutside1 it just came in today and I couldn’t be happier. It’s my first Goruck and I now understand what people mean by overbuilt. It feels like it could survive a nuclear attack! Solid. I was afraid it would be a bit bulky for EDC, but it’s actually smaller than I thought it would be. Perfect for my use case as a do everything pack. That redwing leather though… smells heavenly!

Great question. It’s kind of light dependent and I can see where someone might see a hint of blue but mine is truly black.
