Took my new MACV-1 boots out the box, put’em on, threw on a 50lbs ruck and took’em for a 5 mile ruck march. No hot spots, no discomfort … exceeded my expectations.

Exactly. I have 6+ pairs and every one has been excellent, other than my first-run pre-order from the original drop, which had some glue issues. SCARS honored all of my original pairs when they had glue issues, so I am set on MACV-1 boots for quite a while, haha.

I also highly recommend the 8" Coyotes, they are my favorite pair out of all of them.

It’s common in the military to wrap the laces once around the ankle before you tie. Eliminates all the extra lace while adding ankle support. Awesome review

By far the best review of this particular product. I searched high and low, and didn’t come across your content for this exact model until now, after I’ve purchased. Wish I had sooner to understand the sizing. Thank you for the full thorough review. I normally get a 8 1/2 in gym shoe, and did the same with this model but sadly it was too big, I downsized, and it’s less than snug, so it’s good, not great, the sizing in these boots are kinda weird, but this boot is comfortable on so many levels. I guess it’s about finding the right sock, because my socks tends to slip off throughout the day. As far as a weekend warrior these are top tier, I wore to work on concrete floor all day are not the best atmosphere. So I agree with your take on this shoe. The laces are incredibly long though, but an easy fix.

Goruck is just an amazing company. I preorder mines. 1st edition before anyone else. I use it for travel, hiking in the mountains, beach, down in the everglades, mud it does not matter. I love my boots 100%

As another person who pre-ordered from the OG drop, did yours have glue issues? Mine failed after about 150 miles, but SCARS sent me a new pair. 💪

@@greyhoundTex dude nope at all. 1st edition are still pretty strong. I bought 3 other pairs. I use them for everything pretty much. Weekend shoes, travel shoes, hiking shoes (unless in cold water or snow). Awesome boots!

@@MountR I have a second-gen pair with over 600 miles on them and they are still looking pretty fresh. I brought my 8" Coyotes on this Texas trip and they now have about 300 miles on them and don't even look like suede anymore, haha. I've been treating my coyotes with boot grease and it helps a lot with keeping them flexible even in sandy environments without cracking or drying out.

I wear these in the desert. I like them a lot. Very comfortable. Extremely light weight. Like the fact that they aren’t Goretex or too heavy. My feet stay cool in the summer heat. Haven’t slid on anything. Holding up well. Wore out the laces but replaced them with paracord easily.

I’m an off road Jeep trail guide in Arizona and agree that these are overall great boots. I disagree about the soles, which (after nearly two years of frequent use) I found slippery when hiking uphill over loose rocks. They are fine in the flats, but if I’m going up hills I switch to a Merrill Moab or other shoe with deeper, softer treads

Sir. Any recommendations on a boot for a city cop on concrete all day? Doesn’t have to be a polished leather. Most of the guys have switched over to composite materials instead of a polished leather.

I went through two of these boots in one week. They looked great, they were comfortable but the eyelets were stretching and ripping suede and they are way overpriced for a boot made in Vietnam. Forward the video to 5:10 pause it and look at the last eyelet before the quick lacing and note the gap that will soon rip. The people at the company seem nice and I would like to support them although I lost money for shipping because I'm from Canada. I would purchase these boots if they fixed the suede ripping and cut the price drastically.
