GR2 26L, took the frame sheet out and with all those extra zippered pockets it's my prefect edc bag. Love your content brother 🔥
@jtinseoul70413 жыл бұрын
It's my favourite bag, period. It might just be a little TOO pockety for my normal load out but I love it nonetheless! Framesheet is also out of mine.
@markcrapeau47483 жыл бұрын
I'm sure it would be a Frankenbag but I wish I could pick a few things from various GR bags and put them into one. The Radio Ruck enlarged bottom not only allows the bag to stand but the additional size enables you to use the storage differently and for me more efficiently. If you need you can put in packing cubes on their side. If they converted all the GR1's to this size I would love it. GR2's are lovely but I am happy with more bucket space. My guess is a 21l frame would get another 4 or so usable liters with the wider bottom and the 26 would jump into the 30's. No extra compartments or zippers needed to gain a lot of functionality and space. Toss in a drop pocket and it would meet all my needs. GR are you listening Ha!

Great video. Love this bag and the 26L GR2. My two favorite Goruck packs. I do love my 10L & 15L bullets though

I think this and the GR2 26L share a lot in common. The Radio Ruck is like the GR2 26Ls version of the GR1.

I have found that shorter, square-ish packs can also carry more comfortably as there is natural articulation (where the shoulder straps meet the pack) that occurs at the curviest part of your back (mid-upper).
@jtinseoul70413 жыл бұрын
Completely agree with this.

Thanks! I bought one because of your video! Then I realize that there's GR2 26L ... So, which one do you like more, Radio or GR2 26? If you could pick/afford one for EDC or a weekend trip, which one will you pick?

Love the videos - favourite bag channel on KZbin. Got to say, tho, having tried both and being a shorter guy (5’8”) I much prefer the GR1. Radio Ruck just too dumpy.
@jtinseoul70413 жыл бұрын
Appreciate that! I guess it's a bit of a strokes for blokes thing.

Please elaborate on feeling dumpy.
@seechangenyc2802 жыл бұрын
@@hiramrodriguez4323 I will respond, because I agree and I have a 17" torso and I'm 5'6." It should be perfect for me. But GR1 21L looks better on my back. The radio rides higher on the back and hits at an odd place on the back that it looks dumpy/frumpy (not here or there). Just this gal's opinion. It's super comfortable. It's sitting on my floor staring at me hoping I change my mind.

one question : as currently Goruck Radio is not visible on the Goruck site. Do you know if it will be brought back ? or was the name changed ?
@seechangenyc2802 жыл бұрын
Why do you think Goruck does not include waist strap? Me, I'd like to have it. Running for a bus or train, it sloshes around. Drives me nuts. Wish EG would add 'em too. I got a feeling you're gonna disagree...

Tough call. I prefer the Radio Ruck mostly because it's a bit deeper since it doesn't have the ruck plate pocket in the main.

why not a GR1 21L and remove the frame sheet over a Radio Ruck? still grappling with the difference between the two
@jtinseoul70413 жыл бұрын
The main reason is the depth. Because it's deeper and shorter the front pocket is a lot more useable. It's as I mentioned, with the same amount of stuff, the GR1 21 (frame sheet or not) feels a lot more stuffed, at least with my load. Also, I probably should have mentioned this, but the Radio Ruck trends to stand up a lot straighter under load and can stand when empty.
@Tony166103 жыл бұрын
Hey man, how is the "pilling" on this guy? I didn't really like the GR1 because the 1000D Cordura would rub against the small of my back and eventually pill my shirts. I was wondering if this carried a bit higher maybe it wouldn't be an issue? I'd hate to chew through an expensive North Face shell or something. Do you find this issue with GoRucks in general? Maybe I just need to break it in... Thanks dude!
@jtinseoul70413 жыл бұрын
Heya man! I've heard of this happening to people because of the 1000D on a lot of the Goruck bags. I've not personally noticed it happen to any of my clothes but what I can say about this one particularly is that because it rides higher I think it would be better than a GR1 that would tend to rub near the bottom of the bag where its stiffest. Also, because this one has no framesheet, I would guess it "hugs" your back better and that would help too. I think the pilling occurs when a bag moves around on your back, acting like sandpaper on wood. The tighter it fits, the less this happens. Just a guess though! Also, on your note on breaking them in.. it definitely helps with the material getting softer! The newest Ruckers have 210D backs that are very nice on skin and clothes but I think this might be as good as the 1000D ones would go.

No problem JT. Cool radio ruck. I think it’s fine - it’s not your brand to do the little standup show off walk around in a circle thing. This is an honestly-you channel and forget about the haters
