Mathematically, how many groups to singers did Kirk need to become famous. Hit songs and being true in spirit to the word of God are two different things. Kirk doesn't have one Solo Artist album, he used others talents to get famous. Considering when Kirk Franklin and the Family to God's Property came out, the singers were on the front cover of the albums. The more famous Kirk became you started seeing him alone on the front cover. He brought people together to boost his fame. To show you how corrupt Gospel Music has become, Corporations won't put the real artists in the singers on the front cover of the album, Kirk Franklins name and image get put on their for the albums to sale 💵 and the labels to financially profit. It proves that Gospel artists will subside Biblical principles for Corporate influence and financial profit. Oh, how many times have people said that about Kirk Franklin since Stomp and probably before that. And Kirk, at his age, is still praising Him like it's still 1990-whatever. He has multiple Grammys and his music, I'd say, prompted the gospel award category to be split into sub-genres. Basically he created his own genre of African American gospel... He's as innovative and possibly as 'subversive' as 1970s gospel singers and groups that integrated and influenced disco and funk music.

Kirk franklin just don't age! the fact that he still got this much energy and mobility at 54 years old to put on a show and turn the grammys into a holy ghost party is just something to behold, I know he's already performed on some big mainstream stages before but imagine this whole set on the MAIN GRAMMY stage in front of all the mega stars, seeing a taylor swift or a beyonce stand up to "melodies from heaven" how epic that would've been, even as a gospel artist, kirk deserves to be showcased on that stage too!
