I love how the smile disappears from his face when they offer the bottles to him at the end to congratulate him to his sermon - just sooo funny! And a great Song!!!!

The tall guy with the stove pipe hat in the middle of the crowd always stands out to me. He must be a head taller than everybody else. He really delivers the "go to Hell" line as well.

Here in Germany we have many Old West Clubs with their own reconstructed _Western Towns like in Munich. That one is even called NO NAME CITY - funny not one member there knows about the Musical. Just as a fun fact.
@markberryhill27152 жыл бұрын
I know this is late, but you would be amazed at how many Clint Eastwood and western movie fans have never seen the movie, just because it's a musical. Silly.
@rogerlynch5279 Жыл бұрын
@@markberryhill2715 Yes, that is true. Same way the musical OKLAHOMA had been treated at the premiere in New York to Helene Hanf, authore of 84 CHARING CROSS ROAD and UNDERFOOT INTO THE SHOWBUSINESS. To her the the critics had been pure murder!

@@rogerlynch5279 one more good western musical I put in there with them two(I'm even starting to talk like a cowboy)is Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. It scares off a lot of "cowboys" cause it's got music in it.

The great thing about this song is while it's a preacher trying to get the town to reform, it literally tells us exactly what happens to the town later. It's some of the best foreshadowing I've seen in a musical.

Every single time I see and hear either a preacher or Fox News talking head rip on gay male couples or polyamorous stuff instead of focusing on the things that truly affect society: that moment of the film immediately pops in my head. lol

The good reverend needs to reread that part about King Solomon. Or his dad, King David. Or Abraham, Jacob, and about every other Old Testament patriarch except Adam, Isaac, and Moses. Also, it just hilarious thinking of this whenever a pastor or right-wing anchor gets pissed over polyamory.

@BryceCraftServer only one thing, the translation into spanish was "La Leyenda de la ciudad sin nombre", so i think the film legend of the nameless city it doesn´t exist, tou are talking about the same film, paint your wagon in USA and english spoken countries; La leyenda de la ciudad sin nombre in España (Spain).Kamarero40 is doing the things right.
