@SteelPicking4 жыл бұрын
Gary, the settings are as follows. Clean volume 3, bass 10, mid 4 treble 4 1/2 presence 7 master volume 7 and 15w on power. I use my pro fex II for delay and reverb. If I use the reverb on the amp I would set it around 6. Hope this helps. Keep Picking! Aaron

I bought a pedal steel to play in my church. I am new to pedal steel. So far I really like the feel. Do you have any advice for someone learning? Especially for learning gospel pedal steel?
@SteelPicking Жыл бұрын
That is great to hear, Jim! It is always great to see new people playing the pedal steel! We do have some lessons posted that are directed toward beginners if you search "steel picking beginner" on KZbin, and we are currently in the process of editing an entire course for beginners. So make sure to subscribe to be notified of when it comes out! The best thing to start with when playing in church is to get chord charts and recorded versions of the songs being played by the worship team if possible. Also getting with a guitarist can be helpful as they can help you to form chords. Also, you might want to get a chord encyclopedia such as a Mel Bay chord book for guitar that you can apply to the steel. I did this when I first started learning the steel. Also, remember that the steel has a volume pedal; so you can sit in with a group and back the volume off as you try to follow along. Best thing is to have fun in your worship and praising the Lord! Thank you for watching and keep picking!
