Gospel Singer Edwin Hawkins Dies At 74

As a teen, i first met Walter and Edwin Hawkins at the Ephesians church. I was the musician at the Los Angeles church, and they were the musicians at the Berkerly church. We were under the leadership of the late great Bishop E.E. Cleveland, Sr. We fellow shipped a lot. Unac, Sunday school conventions, Music and Arts seminars, etc. I learned a lot from Walter and Edwin Hawkins. At one point, were were label mates on the Birthright Records label in the 80' s and 90's. Their music was anointed. Unlike the NOISE that so-called artists put out today. God touched you when you were exposed to the HAWKINS FAMILY. They will live on in my heart forever. Even as God has placed in my heart many years ago, to start LOVE CENTER LOS ANGELES, in 2019, I will adapt some of the teachings and and spiritual input that i learned from them. Rest in peace, Walter, Edwin and Joel Smith. I love and miss you all. Jerry Lee..
