Charlie, you were spot on with the theatre comment. Donald attended the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. His music is a beautiful blend of his gospel roots, classical music, and the theatre.

One more comment. The Altos and the Tenors are "answering" the Sopranos at the end...the (H)alleluia 🥰 From a member of TCS. I love your channel.

I can appreciate your comment about gospel music being theatrical but it's so much more than that, it is spiritual first.

Donald Lawrence and Ricky Dillard are really good friends. Back in the 80s, there was the Brat Pack of Gospel: Kirk Franklin, Hezekiah Walker, Ricky Dillard, Donald Lawrence, and O'Landa Draper. They were all really good friends with each other and supported each other's ministry. They were like the 70s with Walter Hawkins, Edwin Hawkins, Andrae Crouch, Jessy Dixon, and Richard Smallwood.

Love Donald Lawrence. I listen to "Healed" almost everyday! A few years ago Verizon use to host an annual choir competition called "How Sweet the Sound" and D Lawrence was the host. There are videos all over KZbin still so maybe you could review one of those!

Can you react to "Is my living in vain" by the clark sisters. They have alot of live performances of this song but the 6 minute version is the best with Karen in the thumbnail
