The big single building in the middle of the woodland sold at auction a couple of years ago for £100K. Even though Gosport Borough Council were clear that there would be no planning permission granted, the first buyers tried their hand. They failed, so then sold it on for £80K. The new owners have given an undertaking to keep it wild. In the second location there used to be dear living in the land, but I think they have been moved out as part of the plot has been built on, with more to come. I have walked around the area since the first segments were released by the MOD. All the area, where the houses are now, used to be MOD for armaments manufacture and storage, as well as general victualling and stores.

Spent my childhood and a large part of our teens exploring and climbing round these buildings. We called it "the hidden village" and theres lots of hatches on the ground that when opened, have been flooded so you cant get in them. Theres one small kind of hut building in there that has German writing scribbled on the wall next to long numbers and we were adamant there was a hidden German Soldier who still lives there. Obviously there wasnt, but your imagination is amazing when young. Thanks for the video and rhe memories.

The "Shutter" windows are designed to blast open if there is an explosion, it basically stops the overpressure blowing the walls out and the roof coming down, kind of like a blow off valve

Some bits of Gosport I didn't know about there, strange how the houses are built all round that bunker but it's just been left surrounded by the woods. Brilliant drone footage, some of the best aerial photography I've seen of the new aircraft carriers too!

The 2nd building is E Magazine, and as someone has mentioned here it is being turned into a Brewery for the Powder Monkey Brewing Company. The Naval Trust have been trying to turn the space into something useful for years, with heritage lottery funding. The old Oakleaf Brewing Company, who were based in Gosport, were looking at the site many years ago. Having seen the plans, the out building which you had trouble seeing into was going to be staff changing rooms - which if it still is to become, is likely why you couldn't see in.

It was too risky to keep the Gunpowder and Naval ships together in one place in Portsmouth so in 1750 by an act of King George 3rd the Board of Ordnance bought farm land in Gosport and also a boatyard known as Priddy's. Completed in 1757 the area was now known as Priddy's Hard Fort and was the storage area (magazines) for all the Gunpowder of the 18th and 19th century, then as munition magazines for the more modern warships of the 20th century. None of the ships in Portsmouth docks had any powder/munitions on board and had go to the specially built jetty in the middle of the Portsmouth harbour but on the Gosport side of the harbour before setting off on their tours of duty, any ship returning from duty in turn would have to unload at the jetty before being cleared to re-enter the docks at Portsmouth.

Nice to see the new carriers. Shame it will be a few years until they can afford to buy any planes to put in it. Last one I saw was the Ark Royal and I saw that when I was on a boat. From there you really got the best view of the sides and not a lot else, but you realized just how big they are. In those days, Britain built it's own planes, that was before Thatcher and her government sold everything off to pay for the Faulklands war

@@snowbiwan-kenobi5594 Dust's often misidentified as orbs. I called it based on it's speed and trajectory. Orbs are often loosely accompanied with a brief gelatinous-like unfocusing of the lens. @@dollybelfiore7628 do you have any idea of how Physics works? or the fact when your outside things like body heat and breath, heat from the camera/light also changes the direction of the Dust particle (same oh how gliders and birds fly) i just took a vid on my phone proving this using the scientific method.
