I flew directly over it by accident in the Microsoft Flightsimulator while i was on my way to New Zealand and wondered what it is. So i checked my map and looked it up in Wikipedia and searched for Real-Life Videos. Its not just a game but edutainment. Thank you and Greetings from Bavaria, Germany.

Would have been incredible to see that crater the day after it actually hit. Must have been huge!

Nice! I trekked the Larapinta Trail in that area back in 2016 and remember hearing about this place, but I never made it out there. I'm curious how you made it out that way? Did you hire a 4WD car and just drive out there? Was there a special permit you needed to go out there? Cheers and excellent video mate...I'm hoping to make it back down under again sometime!

The area can be accessed via a paved road from Alice Springs. Only the last few miles are unpaved/gravel/sand/dust. We used an All Wheel Drive Rav 4 (not a true 4-wheel drive) and it was fine. Just needed to be a little higher than a normal car since there are a few rough spots (nothing major). No special permit is required.
