Friday Night Funkin' is an open-source rhythm game released on Newgrounds in 2020. The game is developed by a small group called The Funkin' Crew Inc., which consists of Cameron "ninjamuffin99" Taylor, David "PhantomArcade" Brown, Isaac "Kawai Sprite" Garcia, and evilsk8r. The game shares some gameplay features with Dance Dance Revolution, PaRappa the Rapper, and the "Dance Contest" minigame from Club Penguin, and borrows aesthetic influences from Flash games. The game has been credited with driving users back to Newgrounds, a site whose popularity peaked in the early 2000s
Friday Night Funkin' D-Sides, also called D-Side Remixes, is a remix-overhaul modification of Friday Night Funkin', created by DastardlyDeacon, where D-Side variants of characters from the original game and the Modding Community, as well the music, are featured.
The D-Sides variation changes the appearance, personality, and story of a character to similar or opposite to the original, usually maintaining its name. In cases like Sensei and Planeman, where a major change was made to the characters' theme, the name was changed to match the theme.

from a cover to a unique composition... what a progression weirdest song ive ever heard in terms of what it does structurally??? one thing though: i think there are offkey notes sometimes, make sure to keep an eye of what scale you're in some other things: going 3/4 for a segment is REALLY INTERESTING. nice idea on that, really works well the "hardstyle" section worked out really well despite the difference in pacing BF is a bit hard to hear at parts WHAT ARE THOSE PERCUSSIVE SAMPLES IN THE 9TH MINUTE??? LOVE THAT overall what a confusing but pretty neat song upon a few more relistens, i edit this to state: ...this is probably the most confusing song in fnf ive found? its so incoherent and garbled. it just makes you feel "...what?" all the way through

the best opinion i've gotten so far, thank you for that :) the song is sort of experimental to say the least? it tells a story...a story that might be told somewhere in the near future. ; ) Also, quick edit, mind telling me specifically where is the "offkey" parts?

@@cloudtheclod oh yeah the storytelling element is certainly clear hearing this is a trip like no other, imo it feels recognizable and coherent at first but then just... devolves... less of a "wow this is an edgy banger" sort of statement, and more like a shock and unsettlement (the visualizer and voicelines also convey this) definitely experimental and unique. what a weird piece

To be honest, this is pretty good, but feels a little too different to be a D-Sides. Probably more on the "Neo" or "Alt./Arrow Funk" side of things. But, it's not all that bad! I liked the parts where ILoveYou spoke and eventually attacked Have You Seen This Man. Really flips the script of how in the OG Crunchin' mod, IAMGOD took over YouAreAnIdiot's systems in Rumor and it stayed that way until the end of the song. Maybe try to do something to the instrumental and/or voice of "This Man" to amplify the intimidation factor for him, but not to the point where he feels like a threat. Just an enigmatic "mythos" on the internet. The 3/4ths rhytm for the breakdown was also an interesting choice, but maybe you could add something more to it to make it feel real unique and powerful. Maybe, instead of dubstep like the OG rumor, the music/instrumental could be more "techno" based with bits, chips, and other sound effects (like maybe a human heartbeat to represent ILoveYou?) for that part.

this was the best one so far, I like how LOVELTTER.vbs sounds like a manic woman LOL, also this man's vocals were improved, not to mention the fact that the virus speaks in Filipino because its creator is Filipino which just makes it better Good job Clound :) :) :)
