Having no feeling to the poor back home and not looking back is one thing that I personally do not accept. When we get old, we need to be our love ones. If we successful enough, creating jobs opportunities for our people would be a great idea.

I understand, however what has prevented most people from succeeding is helping everyone else before helping themselves. I used to think like you until several people I look up to mentioned that the best thing you can do for poor people is not to be poor with them. It took a long time to actually understand what that meant and when you’re able to understand it, you can move past the guilt of putting yourself first before saving everyone else. You can’t save others when you’re out of breath. That’s why on the plane they instruct us to put oxygen masks on ourselves first before applying them on others. When you’re able to stabilize yourself then by all means reach out and help as many people as you can. That’s why I don’t judge other people because I don’t know their circumstances. I know what you mean. I was in uganda, kenya and Ethiopia. I tried to understand why the majority in Africa is poor. It is because of no ending giving and not working to earn it. Having a poor governance to create opportunities, not making roads for the people is a big factor. Perhaps, I would rather suggest to those of us who made it out here, should try to create some employment opportunities and teach our people how work hard and earn the living. It is optional. Growing up I did not have any thing but now I have every thing and still not happy. Our people need some opportunities not giving or hand out.

The first replies, I made them before listening to her, after listening… she mentions making purchases of not more than 100,000 usd per home … two homes per year, that is 200,000usd or less ..she is an investor and realtor and been in business for a while .. so must be having fully paid homes or properties she is renting that are bringing in money. She is also using equity in her properties to purchase new ones….
