Hi, @Ahuntrgw2013! Thanks for your enthusiasm 🙂 and your Snowy Owl… I play a Turkish Oud, made by Sadettin Sandi - purchased in Istanbul in 1998. Tuned high to low - D A E B F# D. Thanks again and best wishes!

​@@philipgriffin Oh, my! 😳 God Almighty is so good to us in this small, small world He has given! I also have an oud, a lower-grade model, made by Emekli Albay - retired Turkish Air Force Colonel (full colonel) Saadettin Sandi! I bought it from him at the Cankaya Muzikevi center on Hosdere Cadessi in Ankara in 2010. I was working at the US embassy and enjoying my time in Turkey - probably too much. REALLY need to change my “green” strings. 😏 Now, I had had mine, low-to-high, in modern Turkish tuning of Do# - Fa# - Ti - Mi - La - Re (C# - F# - B - E - A - D) for the longest time. Have also had it in “Armenian tuning,” Mi - La- Ti - Mi - La - Re (E - A - B - E - A - D) but have usually kept it in Ti - Fa# - Ti - Mi - La - Re (B - F# - B - E - A - D) the last few years for that one sadder-sounding makam - whenever I pick it up.
